"Thank you for recommending the Zaon XRX and helping me set up my Garmin 496 to receive traffic. You guys are the best!"

Aviation Collision Avoidance Systems
Most pilots don't spend time thinking about aviation collision avoidance until they've experienced a near miss. Fortunately, technology provides tools that offer incredible accuracy and reliability at spotting other aircraft and avoiding collisions and traffic. Traffic Information System (TIS) data and aircraft equipped with ADS-B enabled transponders provide active updates that make traffic detection easy. However, many private craft are not equipped with ADS-B devices, or simply fly outside of TIS coverage, and therefore must rely on different technology.
Having an aviation collision avoidance system in your cockpit is like having an extra set of eyes (eagle eyes!) on your side. These devices can detect traffic that you cannot. Aviation collision avoidance places a bubble of awareness that can extend outside the range of your sight, and advises you when you should pay attention to another aircraft. Nearly every pilot who has used an aviation collision avoidance system has a story about a close call. Consider for a moment: if you don't have an anti collision device, you may have had a close call you don't even know about. Is there a good reason to fly without one?
If you're not sure which aviation collision avoidance device is right for you, give us a call. Our staff of trained pilots love talking to other flyers about the ins and outs of traffic detection.
